This is what happens to stupid, careless people.

Ramu and Rajesh

Ramu was a good man. Stupid, but still a good man. Despite his brutal streak, he retained a certain childlike innocence. In a way, I’ll miss him.

Rajesh turned out to be one of those misguided, rebel-without-a-cause 20-somethings. Four months ago, he spoke of getting a temporary job after passing his exams, to make a little money for admission fees. Money, arrogance, ignorance, and a profound lack of judgment led to his ending up face-down in a pool of his own blood. I wish he had turned out better, but I cannot say he did not have this coming.

Stupid, stupid people.

AngusMacAskill, over at Last.fm, has finally managed to compile a brutally honest, in-your-face list of the thirty best death metal acts EVER. Okay, don’t take my word for it. Read it for yourself here.

Sometimes, a song gets stuck in my head and stays there, tormenting me, until I manage to shake it off (note: blunt trauma does not work). Other times, I get stuck on a song and play it over and over until I’m cured (again, trauma is useless).

This time, it was Decibel’s (Desi Bal’s?) Naagin The Lady Cobra. I seem to have gone a tad overboard this time, however. My apologies to Last.fm.

The track is available for download from the band’s website and from Last.fm.

Apparently, …

For those of you that are, like I am, using cheap Nokia phones, here’s a little trick that might make playing Snake Xenzia less frustrating. (Yes, I can imagine how one must feel when one reads this and realizes that just about everyone else has a shinier, heavier, costlier, more megapixelier cellular phone. No, wait, is that really a bad thing? I use a Nokia 1110, by the way.)

Okay, skipping right to the Snake Xenzia cheat. Note: This works only in campaign mode.

  • Select a speed/level you’re comfortable with and start a new game.
  • Press one of the soft keys to go …

From an email that was forwarded to me:

  • Can you cry under water?
  • How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
  • Why do you have to ‘put your two cents in’ but it’s only a ‘penny for your thoughts’? Where’s that extra penny going?
  • If there is an afterlife and you go to heaven or hell, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?
  • Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
  • What disease did cured ham actually have?
  • How is it that we put someone on the moon before we …

He had a bad dream. A nightmare, if you will. He dreamt about the death of his friend. Newly married, he cried in front of his mother and wife.

He is attached to his friend with dog-like loyalty. He did, at one time, receive clothes and just enough money to pay for his bus fare. Running from the police was not cheap.

She asked him to come visit her. He refused, even though he didn’t know why. Times had changed, of course. He was no longer the person she used to know, and he suspected she had undergone similar changes. Perhaps …

Going through Nile’s website, http://www.nile-catacombs.net/, I went to the News section and there, under the post titled WORLD EXCLUSIVE: NILE VIDEOS ON HEADBANGER’S BLOG, I clicked a link that should’ve taken me to the Headbanger’s Blog website. Instead, I was taken to an Altavista video search for ‘ass’.

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Work’s keeping me real busy, so I can’t pay much attention to this blog or the domain as a whole; however, there is some stuff that I am/will be working on now and in the near future.

  • Getting Ubuntu 7.10 to work with my ATi Radeon 9250 AGP graphics card.
  • Writing, co-writing, editing, and publishing FAQs, tutorials, and rants related to IRC, DALnet, #Mumbai and #Bangalore on DALnet, and the mIRC and irssi IRC clients.
  • A major overhaul of my Music page (and sub-pages), since a lot of my search engine traffic is directed at these pages. I’ll be looking at expanding this …
